November 8, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A bizarre and horrific incident took place in Bartlesville, Oklahoma lately when a ten year old baby girl died after being left atop a pile of dirty laundry within a washing machine. The mother 26 year old Lyndsey Fiddler had placed the new born along with her clothes in the machine which was then turned on and completed an entire spin circle with the baby inside. The gruesome death was discovered a full 40 minutes later after a relative looked in. She found the mother fast asleep on the floor with Maggie May, the tiny baby missing.

Strange sounds emanating from the washing machine prompted her to open it where she discovered the crumpled body amongst the pile of washed clothes. The emergency call was overheard by a number of dispatchers who heard the mother arguing with her aunt Rhonda Coshatt who insisted that it wasn’t she but Fiddler who had killed the baby.

The nature of the crime and the outcome left several hardened police men in tears. A second degree manslaughter charge has been filed against the mother, Lyndsey Fiddler who had initially been arrested on drug charges. Fiddler also has two boys but had been on drugs making her family members concerned about the safety of her children. It was precisely for this reason that Coshatt had called on the day the tragedy occured. She wanted to see how Fiddler coped with her third child, a new born daughter.

Both her boys who are too young to react at three and four have now been placed under social care. The paramedics had tried to do everything to save the baby but it had already been dead by the time they arrived at the hospital.

Police chief Holland has stated that he will not leave any stone unturned during the investigations which are on right now.
