Newark, Jan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The transportation system in Newark is facing multiple problems this year. A recent security breach in the Newark Airport had stranded people for several hours and led to the cancellation of flights. After the air-traffic problem, it appears that the railway system of the city has also faced a jolt. As per the reports, PATH train, which is one of the highly availed transportation system of this region was suspended for some time on Tuesday morning.
The reports of the PATH train service disruption indicates that some problem in the Amtrak dock bridge made the officials call off this service from Penn Station to Journal Square. It has been reported that people who needed to travel in between these two places were requested to opt for some other transport facilities. People had been annoyed with the incident and many of them even opted for the bus route.
The latest update of the PATH train service suspension indicates that the authorities have been able to restore the problem in the bridge. Trains started to run on this route after 8 a.m, so the commuters did not have to take much pain. It has been reported that the trains are running late by ten minute and so passengers who want to avail this service are suggested to start the journey in advance. The railway officials have not yet made any comment on what was the actual problem on the bridge and whether the issue has been solved permanently. They have also not made any comment if there would be anymore suspension of service for the same reason.
