Teens shot at a birthday party in Bronx

Bronx, May 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A birthday party in Bronx turned deadly for some of the attendees because of gunfire. According to the police the incident happened on Sunday. Two teenagers were killed because of the gunfire. The two people who died comprised of a 15 years old boy and a girl who was just 16 years old. Besides them, another woman who is just 20 years old, had a lucky escape when a bullet hit her arm. She is fortunate enough that the bullet didn’t prove fatal for her. Currently she is in the St. Barnabas Hospital in a stable condition.

There was a birthday party at 1776 Weeks Ave, which is a five storey apartment building located in Tremont. According to reports the firing started around 2 am. The boy who was killed in the firing was identified as Marvin Wiggins. He was a student of the James Monroe High School in Bronx. His parents are devastated at their loss. New York Daily News quoted his mother Andrea Wiggins as saying, “My nerves are shot. He was a fun-loving kid. He would help everybody. I can’t say anything more right now. I’m too upset.” One of his friend’s – Johnny Ciprian said that, “He was like my little brother. He was funny, talkative. He wasn’t about any of what’s just happened. That’s not deserved for him.”
