Suspicious envelope at U.S. Embassy in Paris not harmful
July 30th, 2010 - 6:54 pm ICT by BNO NewsPARIS (BNO NEWS) — An envelope received at the U.S. Embassy in Paris on early Friday afternoon was not believed to be harmful, U.S. officials said.
A spokeswoman for the U.S. Embassy, Elizabeth Detmeister, said a suspicious envelope was received. “Per Embassy security procedures, the two employees who were exposed to it were evaluated by medical professionals and the envelope is being analyzed by a laboratory.”
Detmeister said preliminary results indicate the envelope was not harmful.
