James J Lee September 2, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): The suspected gunman James Lee is dead, reported Thomas Manger, the police chief of Montgomery County. The officials gunned him down after he pointed his gun at a hostage. Manger, however, could not say whether he had pulled the trigger. Lee is also believed to have a long history of conflict with Discovery.

Lee was seen to enter the lobby of the Discovery building at 1P.M. Manger corroborated that he had been wearing explosives on his persons with two boxes and backpacks on him. He was also seen carrying a handgun. It is difficult to ascertain whether he fired his gun said the police chief.

While a lot of people started fleeing from the area, Lee took three hostages which included a security guard. The officers could keep an eye on him by camera and promptly shot him when they saw him pointing his gun at a hostage.

Bomb squads belonging to the Washington Metropolitan area are currently sweeping the building for explosives. The Discovery officials have said that they had been familiar with Lee.

An investigation of Lee’s actions showed that the 43 year old gunman had no love lost for Discovery. He demanded that the Discovery Health-TLC refrain from airing programmes which featured the birth of the parasitic human beings and the sham heroics behind them. They should instead focus more on saving the world and announce their commitment publicly. The website of SaveThePlanetProtest was full of his protests.

James Lee had also had to undergo a supervised probation for six months following disorderly conduct on March 2008.
