danteTampa, Florida, July 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man who was being searched by the police authorities in Tampa, Florida for killing two police officers earlier this week, was finally taken into custody on Friday night. Police authorities have confirmed that the man who has been arrested is none other than Dontae Morris who was supposedly responsible for the death of officers David Curtis and Jeffrey Kocab on Tuesday morning.

The police chief further went on to say that the arrest of the man accused of killing the cops is extremely significant as it has brought a sense of closure for all the officers of the Tampa police department while expressing hope that Dontae Morris’ detention would bring a certain level of peace for the families of the deceased officers.

Officials of the Tampa police department had launched an extensive search to nab Dontae Morris since Tuesday morning when the two officers of the department were attacked by him and both the cops later passed away in a hospital. However, in the end, the culprit walked into the police station and surrendered to the authorities. Moreover, the accused is also wanted for questioning in another case, apart from the killings of the two Tampa department cops.
