London, April 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A survey has found that British pupils are bad losers. It was found during the poll that about two-thirds of British pupils reacted in a bad way after losing in a game or sport.

The researchers conducted the poll on about 1,007 children from the age of 8 to 16 years. There were about 1,008 parents also involved in the poll. It was realized that being a bad loser was not only reserved for the pupils but some parents were also bad losers as well. Two-thirds of the respondents also claimed that some parents were sour after watching their children lose in a game.

What was very obvious was the graciousness of the parents after witnessing their child win a game. 96 percent of the parents said they were gracious in victory. The survey was conducted by Opinion Matters and commissioned by Marylebone Cricket Club and the Cricket Foundation.

The foundation has started a campaign to educate young Brits that they should take the outcome of their games graciously be it a win or lose. Subsequently they have launched the Spirit of Cricket initiative to teach about 4,000 schools how to be a true sportsman.
