Washington DC, Jun 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Supreme Court ordered that the sexy texts on a cop’s pager can be searched, as that pager was provided to him by his employers. Since it is not a personal pager, so the cop shouldn’t expect privacy in the matter of his texts.

After this order by Justice Anthony Kennedy, all those employees who have a gadget provided by their employers, should have the sense to not use it for personal messages and esp. ones that could cause them embarrassment later. The Supreme Court directive should instill some common sense in all such people, that they ought to use their own personal devices for sexy and explicit messages.

This issue came to light when the personal and sexy text messages of the police sergeant in California were searched. When the department searched the employer provided pager of Jeff Quon, then they discovered many sexually explicit messages on it. Later Quon and other people sued and said that such a search violated their privacy. But the Supreme Court quashed their lawsuit, and said that on the contrary they should have used their personal cell phone for personal messages. It also came to light that in just a month Jeff sent/received 456 messages, out of which a whooping 400 were deemed personal.
