NEW CITY, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – A Suffern, New York plumber was charged with two counts of grand larceny for stealing from an unsuspecting Suffern homeowner, prosecutors announced on Monday.

Bart Sakin, 45, owned a plumbing business named S & E Plumbing, Inc., Consolidated Plumbing Co. He allegedly stole more than $2,200 from a Suffern client whom he contracted to replace a boiler. He is currently under indictment for grand larceny stemming from an alleged theft of over $11,000 from a local family in September, 2007.

This second indictment was a result of Sakin’s media coverage of his first indictment, where a complaint was registered regarding this case.

Sakin charged $2,200 to a homeowner for a boiler related repairs. He told his client that the job will be finished within four days. After that period ended, he came up with more excuses and he neither returned the money nor finished the job.

If convicted, Sakin faces a possible penalty of up to four years in prison.
