London, Oct 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A new research by the London School of Economics has debunked the long held belief that Mondays are the most miserable days.

The new studies revealed that it is actually the day after Monday that we feel most miserable.

Tuesdays being the most miserable day of the week might not be what many people may want to believe, but the researchers used an iPhone app called Mappiness to monitor the mood of some 22,000 participants over a two month period.

Participants were sent messages twice daily to check their mood. They were asked what they were doing, who they were spending the time with and what they were doing. Along with the messages, the participants were also tracked with satellites to determine exactly where they were.

After collecting all the required data, it was realized that it was Tuesday that people felt at their lowest ebb and not surprisingly Saturday was the brightest day, according to the data that was gathered.

From the satellite data, it was realized that it were people who live in towns near beaches were found to be the most happiest of all the people. However those at the City of London, Slough and Eastbourne were found to be the least cheerful.
