New York, Jan 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Researchers have identified that being married to the end with your partner does not necessarily makes the marriage a happy one.

The research claim that people tend to stay in unhappy marriage for several reasons. Some prominent ones are the children, religious believes and many other reasons.

The have a happy marriage, the relationship should have what psychologists call the “Michelangelo effect”. Simply called the “Me” marriage, it is just the way that partners use to get to know each other and eventually get to see each other in themselves.

To test that, researchers developed some questionnaires and grouped some married couples. The questionnaires practically centered on how well the partners knew each other.

When the partners were asked about what they think they know about their partners, their response time to the type of questions that they associate with themselves is relatively shorter than those that they identified about the other person.

The researchers explained this. They said that, “It’s easy to answer those questions if you’re both the same. But if it’s just true of you and not of me, then I have to sort it out. It happens very quickly, but I have to ask myself, ‘Is that me or is that you?”
