Strong earthquake hits off Indonesia
February 16th, 2010 - 5:09 am ICT by BNO NewsBANDA SEA (BNO NEWS) — A strong earthquake struck off Indonesia on Tuesday, seismologists said.
The earthquake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 to 6.8, was centered in the Kepulauan Baray Daya region of Indonesia, about 149 kilometers underground.
A seismologist at the USGS said it was checking on the reports, and had no details.
