Storkcraft crib recall to be speeded up

Washington, Nov 25 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The head of the Consumer Product Safety Commission on Tuesday promised fast and agile action to get dangerous cribs off the market, acknowledging that the safety agency didn’t react fast enough on a record recall of more than 2 million cribs linked to four infant deaths.
“We were not advancing this case as quickly as possible,” Chairwoman Inez Tenenbaum said. “So I put all of the resources for the agency on this project so that they could accomplish this goal of recalling the crib.”
More than 2.1 million drop-side cribs by Stork Craft Manufacturing of Canada are being recalled due to reports of four infant suffocations in these dangerous cribs. The Consumer Product Safety Commission said that the recall would affect around 1.2 million cribs in the United States and almost 1 million in Canada, where Stork Craft is based. Out of these cribs, almost 150,000 of the cribs have the Fisher-Price logo.
CPSC said that the drop-side cribs have a side whose aim is to move up and down to allow parents to carry their children from the cribs quiet easily. And this is one of the major culprits in the crib recall as it detaches and was responsible for 110 hazardous incidents.
Safety experts are advising the parents against using the crib. “You don’t want your child to be the 5th victim of suffocation from this crib,” says Patty Davis with the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Stork Craft has a free kit to stabilize the movable side. Parents can call (877) 274-0277 or log onto www.storkcraft.com.

I purchased a storkcraft crib for my grand daughter and learned of the recall. I have been attempting to “submit form” to receive “repair kit”. After finally getting throught to their website a form appears with no “email option” and contains NO MAILING INSTRUCTIONS. Not even an address to send a hard request! What type of response is THIS?
