Nov 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Most of the times the cars the cops use to chase the criminals and speed brakers look rather mundane and people hardly feel fascinated by those cars! However once the Stealth Ford Police Interceptor hits the road, the scene is going to change for sure. The upcoming model of the car will be displayed at Las Vegas in SEMA in the near future. It does look menacing and impressive and Ford has worked really hard to make the car stand out. The 2010 Ford Police Interceptor was launched earlier this year but that one was not so much awe-inspiring.

The new Stealth Interceptor also has some muscles inside. The engine is powerful enough to chase fast cars and with this in possession the cops will not miss the fleeing criminals. The 3.5-liter V6 lump engine delivers a whopping 365hp which gives it a speed boost over the earlier version. The inclusion of the direct-injection EcoBoost system also helps it get an edge over other models. Melvin Betancourt, the ace Ford designer designed the car on the Taurus Police Interceptor and did some modification. The new car has a new grille in front that gives it a tough menacing look. The designer used the SR-71 Blackbird stealth airplane for getting inspiration.

The car is all black and the design of the interior also blends with the stealth concept. The windows are tinted and even the tail-lamps are smoked. Inside, there are hidden compartments for storing weapons and other essential communication devices. Ford has said that it will start making the car in 2011 and eventually it will replace the aging Crown Victoria police car.
