State police took four boys from Juarez as witnesses
February 5th, 2010 - 3:56 am ICT by BNO NewsJUAREZ, MEXICO (BNO NEWS) – The armed men who took the four boys that witnessed last Saturday’s massacre in Juarez, were state police officers taking them to make statements regarding the killings, state authorities said on Thursday.
“The presence of the four boys was ordered. They were returned home after their official statements were taken,” Vladimir Tuexi, spokesman of state authority said.
“The family members were unaware and thought they were taken forcefully by unidentified men,” he added.
It was earlier reported that family members of the kidnapped boys had filed charges at the state authority’s office last night, saying men who introduced themselves as police officers arrived in black SUVs and took the boys without reason.
