State Police in Watertown, NY arrest man for breaking daughter’s leg
February 11th, 2010 - 2:32 am ICT by BNO NewsADAMS, NEW YORK (BNO NEWS) – New York State Police on Wednesday arrested and charged a man in Watertown, New York for breaking his daughter’s leg.
Jonathan C. Truxell, 27, is alleged to have fractured his eight-month-old daughter’s leg after becoming frustrated with her crying at his residence. The child was initially seen by medical staff at Samaritan Medical Center, but was sent to University Hospital in Syracuse due to her injury.
The child is listed in stable condition, but Jefferson County Child Protective Services received a Child Abuse Hot line referral regarding the child’s injuries.
Truxell was arraigned in the Town of Lorraine and remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu $1,500 bail, pending court adjudication.
