Nov 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) As CQ Press releases it’s City Crime Rankings for the seventeenth year in a row, four hundred United States cities are ranked according to six different categories. Murder, rape, burglary, robbery, aggravated assault and motor vehicle theft statistics are studies to see which cities have more of each of those crimes, and the combined scores show our most dangerous places.

For the second year in a row, the LEAST dangerous city was shown to be Colonie, New York. This city had only sixty one incidences of violent crime for the entire year of 2009. St Louis Missouri came in at the top to take first place as America’s most dangerous city for 2010, with motor vehicle theft and robbery being the top of the “criminal’s list of things to do in St Louis” and assault and murder coming in close behind.

Camden, NJ was number one last year, but came in at number two this year. This city had more rapes and robberies than any on the list. They place second in the assault listing, and fourth in murder.

Coming in third on CQ’s list was Detroit, Michigan. Although this city scored high in the car theft and assault rankings, they were very low in the number of rapes committed there. Scoring number 4 in the list, with the number one number of assaults was Flint, Michigan. And Oakland California came in fifth on the CQ list, with the number one ranking in motor vehicle theft.
