The country’s top officials attended the gracious ceremony in the Kremlin and Chapman received her medal from President Dmitry Medvedev, which is a further sign that she was indeed a top spy.

Chapman was deported from the US three months ago, after residing in Britain for many years. At the age of 28 years, the attractive redhead is believed to be in the league of the youngest to receive such an honor in Russia’s history. The 9 other spies who were deported by Washington along with Chapman were also given top medals.

Natalya Timakova who speaks for the Kremlin confirmed that the ceremony took place and revealed that other intelligence officers were awarded in addition to the 10 spies.

The 10 spies were exchanged for four Russians who acted as spies for the MI6 and CIA. Chapman lost her British citizenship, which she acquired after her marriage to British citizen Alex Chapman. Their marriage ended 4 years ago.

Chapman has been regarded as a national hero since her return to her homeland and has been posing for raunchy photos in magazines. She’s also been made a bank advisor.
