Oct 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Sotheby’s Auction House which is located in Geneva stated today that it will offer up a very rare pink diamond for sale next month, which weighs 24.78 carats and is guessed to be worth anywhere from 27 to 38 million dollars.

It will be the first time that this stone has been on the market in over 60 years. The diamond was placed in the elite Ila classification, in which only 2 percent of all of the world’s gems are ever placed.

This gorgeous stone is being sold by an unnamed collector, and is quoted by Sotheby’s to be “one of the most important and beautiful gemstones ever to come up for auction.” It could be considered “internally flawless” by the Gemological Institute of America, the auction house went on to say, after it is re polished.

The Magnificent Jewels sale is scheduled for November 16. Photos of this beautiful gem can be seen here.
