ada1Apr 7, (THAINDIAN NEWS) With the public showing a very active interest in the video that shows the gruesome death of the late SeaWorld trainer, Dawn Brancheau, the mother of Sonja Larson has come forward to voice her protests. She feels that it is an unfair and completely morbid interest on the part of the public to be asking to view the video depicting the far from pleasant death of the trainer, and that the video should remain in the custody of the investigators, and never be given public access. Her concern can be understood, for only a few years back, she had had to fight against the investigators giving public access to the crime scene photos of her murdered daughter, Sonja Larson.

Sonja Larson had been one of the five students of a college in Florida who had been killed in 1990 by a psychopath killer, known as the Gainsville Ripper. The killer practiced leaving the bodies of his female victims in gruesome poses, and the crime scene photos used to be terrible enough for the police to refuse releasing them. At that point of time too, the public had shown considerable interest in the photographs, but Ada Larson, Sonja Larson’s mother, fought against the release vehemently.

Speaking about the public interest in the pictures of Meredith Emerson and the video of Swan Branchaeu, Ada Larson commented that these pictures should not be released not only to respect the privacy of the concerned families and the deceased, but also to ensure that no further grief is inflicted upon the already bereaved families. She insisted that such pictures, if they are released, creates an indelible impact upon the sufferers.
