Son of New York City mobster Mickey Spillane dies

mickey-st New York City, July 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Robert Spillane, who was the son of the famous mobster, Mickey Spillane has died after falling from six floors.

Initial report suggest that it was an accident and the police also added that they have commenced investigation in to the accident. The actor/playwright was reportedly leaning on his apartment’s apartment window screen when the accident happened. Robert Spillane was popularly known as Bobby was leaning on the window screen and calling out to his brother, Michael Spillane when the screen gave in to his weight and he came tumbling down.

Michael witnessed the whole accident and he said that he would not ever forget the terrible accident. On his way down, Bobby hit a tree on his way down, before getting to the floor. The uncle of the actor Jim McManus described the accident as terrible. Jim McManus, said, “The poor kid had a terrible accident.”

Robert Spillane has appeared on television shows like “Law & Order” and “Rescue Me”. His father was the famous American mobster, Mickey Spillane.

Mickey Spillane died in 1977, when Bobby was only 12 years old. He was a legendary mobster who ran several rackets on the American West Side in the 60’s.
