Dec 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 52-year-old Yefim Tsirinsky, a New York resident, has been accused of strangulating her 86 year old mother, to death. After he committed the crime on Friday, Yefim Tsirinsky, immediately called up the police to get himself arrested. He said on phone at 8:00 a.m that morning, that he had just “smothered” and “suffocated” her mother.

However, he also said that it was a mercy killing, as her mother told her that she did not want to live anymore. The son therefore took a pillow and placed it on her face to make her suffer from the suffocation. However, when the police arrived, they discovered that Frida Tsirinsky has just fell senseless and was still alive. They immediately took her to the hospital where she survived for another 24 hours and was announced dead on Saturday. The police official, after an autopsy, claimed that the attack took place when the 86 year old was lying on the bed and there was no sign of any kind of struggle when the attack took place. However, one has to wonder that even if it was mercy killing, his innocence would have been more strongly established, had he got a note written by his mother before her death, or atleast call someone to witness the conversation between the two. He failed to do both, and therefore, his crime has been categorized as second-degree murder and first- and second-degree strangulation.

Yefim Tsirinsky is an unemployed but reportedly a “dedicated” son. The police did not talk about the motive behind the murder. Their neighbor, Donald Solomon said that he was shocked when he came to know about it, as Yefim Tsirinsky came across as a very loving son.
