Smoke bomb disrupts Hitler’s birthday party
April 21st, 2011 - 1:10 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattChicago, April 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Adolf Hitler was born on the 20th of April 1889 and if he had been alive today would be his birthday. That fact was not lost on some residents of Chicago.
Chicago Tribune reports that a birthday bash was held for the former German leader at a restaurant in Lyons, Illinois. According to the report, swastika banners and several other white supremacists signs were displayed at the location where the party was held. The owner of the restaurant has distanced himself from the party.
The party was held at the P.J. Klem’s Restaurant & Banquet. According to the owner, the place was rented out to an association called the America First Committee. Residents are not convinced because they claim that the party has been held before so there is no way that the owner could deny knowledge.
The police came in when someone set a smoke bomb in the bathroom of the restaurant. The person managed to sneak out before the police could catch him.
Hitler is regarded as the worst dictator in modern history. He systematically killed about 14 million people including six million Jews. It is believed that Hitler killed himself to avoid being captured by the coalition forces.
