Small plane crash near Lebanon, Kentucky airport kills one
February 24th, 2010 - 3:51 pm ICT by BNO NewsLEBANON, KENTUCKY (BNO NEWS) — A small plane crashed near a Lebanon, Kentucky airport on Tuesday, killing one person on board.
The Piper Cherokee PA-28-180 plane crashed one mile west of Lebanon-Springfield Airport at 5.06 p.m. local time, according to Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). She said the plane crashed in trees due to unknown circumstances.
The only person on board was killed in the crash.
Federal records show the 1964-build plane was registered to KMT Consultants, Inc. in Southern Shores, North Carolina.
