Small plane crash injures two in Vero Beach, Florida neighborhood

VERO BEACH, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) — Two people were injured when their plane crashed in a residential area of Vero Beach, Florida on Friday, federal officials said.

The Piper PA-34 200T Seneca, capable of carrying up to six passengers and one pilot, went down around 2.40 p.m. local time and crashed in a residential backyard, according to Kathleen Bergen, a spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). She said the two persons on board were seriously injured.

Federal records show the 1979-build plane was registered to Lois Aviation, LLC in Brooklyn, New York.

The FAA will investigate the cause of the crash. There were no injuries on the ground.
