Skydivers Set New Record After Jumping From World’s Tallest Building

free-fallDubai, Jan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dubai, which saw the grand opening of the Burj Dubai tower last week, experienced a real spine-chilling moment when two sky-divers jumped from a height of 2,250 feet. Burj Dubai, later dubbed as Burj Khalifa, holds the record of being the tallest man made structure of the world and the two base-jumpers had set to make the earliest attempt of diving from this tower, to create a new record in their field. As per the reports, Nasser Al Neyadi and Omar Alhegelan dived from the two hundred story tower and reached ground in less than two minutes.

As per the report, the thrill-loving duo, who are expert in this sport, recorded a speed of 136 mile per hour and hit the ground in one and half minute. It was a spectacular scene for the city as no one ever expected to jump from such a height. Nasser Al Niyadi, who holds the record of sky diving from the Mt. Everest, said that it was his ‘best experience ever’. In an interview, he said that when they had reached the top of the tower, he felt bit ‘nervous’ and thought the act was little ‘crazy’. However, he had taken the leap and became successful. He stated that his record was not only his personal achievement but also it was the achievement of the country.

Omar Alhegelan also considered this jump to be among the ‘most beautiful sensations’ that he had ever experienced. He also declared that their act was safe and legal. They had planned the entire act for a month and obtained the legal permission.
