Six dead, nearly a dozen missing after landslide in China-Myanmar border region
May 4th, 2010 - 2:14 pm ICT by BNO NewsKUNMING, CHINA (BNO NEWS) — Six Chinese workers were killed and nearly a dozen remain missing after a landslide in the China-Myanmar border region on Monday, state media reported on Tuesday.
The state-run Xinhua news agency reported that nine people remain missing after the landslide, which happened in Myitkyina, a Myanmar region bordering with southwest China’s Yunan Province.
Xinhua reported that Myanmar has requested China to help in the rescue operation.
