Six dead in eastern Kentucky shooting massacre
September 12th, 2010 - 2:12 am ICT by BNO NewsBREATHITT COUNTY, KENTUCKY (BNO NEWS) — Several children were among five people killed by a gunman in eastern Kentucky on early Saturday afternoon, local officials said.
The shooting happened around 12.30 p.m. EDT, but few details were immediately available. Breathitt County Sheriff Ray Clemons confirmed to BNO News that a man killed five people before turning the gun on himself.
Clemons said the victims were believed to be family members of the gunman, which included children.
