siJuly 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Family members of Leisa Jones have slammed allegations that the Staten Island mother was responsible for killing her four kids before taking her own life in the last week’s murder-suicide blaze. Leisa Jones’ sister Sharon Scott has criticized the New York Police Department of leading the case absolutely no where as initially they claimed that her 14-year-old nephew C.J. was the person who carried out the crime but later singled out on the mother of the four kids.

While talking to the media about the incident, Leisa Jones’ sister blamed the cops for not investigating the matter in the proper manner owing to which at the beginning they pointed fingers at her nephew while later her sister was alleged to be the culprit. At the same time, 29-year-old Sharon Scott called for a federal probe in the murder-suicide case and expressed hope that the Federal Bureau of Investigation would look into the matter to shed light into what actually happened to her family. The mother of four was claimed to be a suspect in the murder-suicide blaze after autopsy reports highlighted that she was alive when the Staten Island house went on fire.

However, police commissioner Raymond Kelly has emphasized that the investigators are yet to reach a conclusion about who was actually responsible for taking so many lives. The five family members were found in the Port Richmond house last week after a fire engulfed their apartment. Out of the four kids, three had their throats slashed while the youngest one died after inhaling smokes.
