shroud Rome, Feb 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Shroud of Turin will be exhibited to the public in the spring. It is believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus. However there has been a huge debate, whether it is really the cloth that held the body of Jesus after he was crucified. The Shroud of Turin has been involved in controversy, as some people think that there is no proof that he actually held the body of Jesus.

The Shroud of Turin has a clear image of a man on its surface, so people are highly intrigued by it. The image is of an old man who has a beard, he also has a crown of thorns on his head. There are also visible signs that he had been whipped and crucified prior to be packed away in the white piece of cloth, that is now said to be the Shroud of Turin.

According to tradition, the Shroud is displayed every 25 years, but the last time it was displayed was in 2000, because of the new millennium. It was scientifically restored in 2002, and this is going to be the first public viewing since then. The viewer can view the Shroud of Turin for free, and only the reservation to view the Shroud needs to be made online.
