Rome, Oct 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A scientist has been trying to make an attempt at proving a part of the bible to be false, when they chose to recreate the Shroud of Turin. The shroud obviously holds massive importance in terms of Biblical context as it was the very same piece of cloth that had being stated to have covered the body of Jesus Christ when he was lying in the tomb.
An Italian scientist has been successful in reproducing the revered piece of cloth that bore the picture of Christ, which till date had been believed to be a supernatural intervention. According to the scientist, the outcome of his experiment should help to prove now that the Biblical Shroud of Turin was a man made one and not what it had been led to believe till now.
The detailed objective of the experiment was revealed by the group on Monday. Mr. Garlaschelli, who is a professor of organic chemistry at the University of Pavia, divulged that he had made use of the similar materials and procedures that were known to be in existence in the 14th Century or the Middle Ages, to bring about the feat. The complex procedure had involved the application of a pigment to the cloth and then following it up with heating in an oven.
The shroud is reported to bear the figure of a man who has been crucified, all detailed with the oozing out blood from the nailed hands and feet. Garlaschelli has said that he is so confident of his research that he has placed it open for challenge. He has also said, “If they don’t want to believe carbon dating done by some of the world’s best laboratories they certainly won’t believe me.”

The Italian group think that they may have been able to recreate the Shroud of Turin. Maybe they have? But, I’d love for them to try and recreate the coffee stained image of the Virgin Mary I personally have. A few photos of the image can be found here on Flickr. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7690119@N03/sets/72157617453203072/detail/

I don’t know if the shroud is christ, but I do know that the image is anatomically perfect both front and back.I know that Christ is real and My faith in him has made me whole. That is all the hope I personally need. The shroud is a cloth and can not save ones soul.Only Christ can do that.
