Sex Offender Pleads Guilty In Court

San Diego, Apr 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 31 year old man accused of molesting and killing three teenage girls in San Diego County has pleaded guilty in court today, reported a San Diego District Attorney County spokesman. John Albert Gardner III who has been behind bars for the past five years for sexually exploiting and then putting to death his 13 year old neighbor, admitted to his involvement in the crime.
Apart from these two killings, John Albert Gardner III also pleaded guilty to the murders of two teenage girls named Chelsea King and Amber Dubois, aged 17 and 14 years old respectively. This was supposed to be the accused’s routine appearance in court- just like he has been doing for the past five years that he has been in jail. Police authorities are not aware as to what prompted him to plead guilty but his statement bars him from facing the death penalty as was the case earlier. After the statement given by John Albert Gardner III in court on Friday, he can be subjected to a whole life in prison without parole. His appeal has thus spared him from the death penalty.
Both the girls, Chelsea King and Amber Dubois had gone missing in the month of February. After the arrest of John Albert Gardner III, police traced the bodies and found their remains in makeshift dug-out graves. While Chelsea King disappeared when she was jogging at the side of a lake, the latter went missing while walking to her school. Reports claim that both of them had been raped before they were murdered.
