philipSep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) What had made the case of Philip Markoff so interesting as well as confusing, was the fact that he came up as a man who seemed spotless. Even when it was all revealed, no one who knew Markoff, could actually believe that the good looking 23 year old former medical student invest his time in such gruesome acts. In the April of this year, the court had found Markoff guilty of charges of armed robbery and first degree murder of a woman in Boston as well as of armed robbery of another woman in the same area.

A new book based on the life of the man, who came to be known as the “Craigslist Killer” is scheduled to hit the stands soon. The book is titled “Seven Days of Rage: The Deadly Crime Spree Of The Craiglist Killer” and has been jointly written by Paul Larosa, who is one of the veteran producers of the CBS network’s “48 Hours mystery” on CBS News, and Maria Cramer, who is a reporter at the Boston Globe.

About the book, Larosa has said, “The biggest new thing in the book is about Philip Markoff’s online secret sexual life. He had posted profiles on bisexual and alternative lifestyle Web sites since 2007.” The books also deals with the accounts of two others who had revealed that they had survived the attacks by Markoff, besides including the interviews of Markoff’s former classmates from his high school.

“48 Hours Mystery” also aired an hour long segment related to this case on September 19, beginning at 10 p.m. ET/PT, to coincide with the release of the book.
