Nov 6, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Houston, in the last one month has been facing a string of murders, as three women were found strangled to death. It is expected that the murders have been committed by a serial killer. Two connections have been found, in all the three cases, which gives the cops an impression that the murder has been done by the same person.
It has been noticed that all three of them have been strangled, with the help of a cord like rope or wire and all the three victims were ‘colored’ women, and all the strangulated bodies were found near a charity home. Two of the victims were aged and homeless while one of them was a young mother. The first victim of this yet-to-be-identified murderer was 24-year-old Raquel Mundy. She was a single mother who moved in from California to study and be a medical assistant. She was found dead on June 18, when a homeless man noticed her body, in an open area near a dark underpass beside the Star of Hope Mission. The second victim was 52 year old Reita Long, whose body was found on September 30. This homeless woman was apparently suffering from some mental illness. She has been a school teacher, who lost her job in her late 20s and started living on the streets. Her body was found in the Catholic Co-Cathedral in downtown Houston. The third and the most recent prey of this murderer was 62-year-old Carol Flood. Her body was found behind an abandoned YMCA building on October 10. Her body was badly injured and neck was swollen.
Although it is only expected, the Houston police authorities have not yet confirmed whether the murder has been done by one person or not. John Cannon, a spokesman for the Houston Police Department said no evidences of sexual assaults have been found in any of the cases, but the two homeless women were murdered while they were asleep.
