Secretary Clinton to travel to Finland and Estonia
April 15th, 2010 - 2:13 am ICT by BNO NewsWASHINGTON, D.C. (BNO NEWS) – The U.S. State Department announced Wednesday that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be traveling to Finland and Estonia from April 21 to 23.
Secretary Clinton will be discussing European security issues, as well as Afghanistan and Iran, during her visit in Finland and Estonia.
Clinton will be meeting with senior Finnish officials as a part of the ongoing bilateral consultations, and she will also be giving a speech outlining the global human security agenda for the 21st century as the current year celebrates the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Helsinki Final Act.
In Estonia, Secretary Clinton is scheduled to attend the NATO Informal Foreign Ministerial, and meet with with NATO Allies to discuss a range of issues before the Alliance on April 22 and 23. She will be meeting with senior Estonian officials and will have a media event with Estonian citizens.
