White House Washington DC, Dec 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) An internal Secret Service report has come out which has revealed that since 1980, there have a record 91 security breaches. So the last months gatecrashing incident by the Salahis in the State Dinner in honor of the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, was not just a one off incident at all.

It may be recalled that Tareq and Michaele Salahi were not on the official guest list for the Nov. 24 dinner and had not been cleared by the Secret Service for admission into the White House. But apparently they walked in without resistance and they also shook hands with President Barack Obama, and had their picture taken with Vice President Joe Biden.

The 2003 report was used for training purposes, and helped agents evaluate security procedures and improve their response to breaches, Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan said. The technical definition of a breach is that it can range from a White House fence jumper to a fame-seeking Virginia couple making their way inside a state dinner without an invitation, he said.

While testifying before Congress last week, Secret Service director Mark Sullivan said normal security protocols were not followed during the dinner. Three officers suspected of allowing the breach have since been put on administrative leave.

An official who had access to this Secret Service report said that most but not all of the 91 breaches involved the illustrious US President. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the person was not authorized to discuss the report.
