Apr 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to reports, a series of interviews which Jackie Kennedy gave only a few months after the assassination of her Husband John F. Kennedy, will soon be released. These interviews are said to give insight into the plans of the former president, and his desire to run for a second term in the White House.

Jackie Kennedy had six and a half hours of conversation with Arthur M Schlesinger, who is a Pulitzer Prize winning United States Historian. He wrote on the Kennedy family during the spring of 1964. These interviews will be from those conversations, which have been written into a book.

A statement from the publisher, Hyperion, reveals why these conversations have not been previously heard. Jackie Kennedy had originally asked that these tapes be sealed, and there were according to her wishes. They are being released now by Caroline Kennedy, the only surviving child of John F Kennedy and Jackie Kennedy. She will be the one to edit the book as well as write the introduction. It is set to be published in September of next year.

“My mother’s passion for history guided and informed her work in the White House,” the Telegraph quoted Caroline as saying in a statement. “She believed in my father, his vision for America, and in the art of politics. She felt it was important to share her knowledge and excitement with future generations.

It is a privilege for me to honour the memory of my parents by making this unique history available,” she added.
