SeaWorld trainer who died in the whale attack remembered fondly at her funeral

dawn Chicago, Mar 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) SeaWorld trainer Dawn Brancheau had died in the killer whale attack a few days ago, and her funeral was held on Monday. Her colleagues, family and friends fondly remembered her at the funeral. Around 200 people were present at the funeral, which was held at the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, which was officiated by Rev. Thomas McCarthy. “We must honor her by giving the light she has given to us. This is not the end for Dawn. This is a transition.” Rev. Thomas McCarthy said to the mourners at Dawn Brancheau’s funeral.

At her funeral, many inspirational songs were played. Terri Lenz said that the music at the funeral was especially chosen in view of Dawn’s fun-loving personality. Terri Lenz especially sang the song ‘Wind Beneath My Winds’, on request from Dawn’s family. After the funeral, Dawn was laid at her final resting place in a suburban Chicago cemetery. Her family revealed that memorial services will be held later in Orlando. The date for the memorial services was not revealed.

It was also learnt that Dawn Brancheau wanted to be a trainer at SeaWorld, since she went for a fun-trip to SeaWorld, when she was barely 9 years old. She did follow her dream, and also succeeded in becoming a leading trainer for SeaWorld. Her career was going great, until a killer whale cut short her dreams in a brutal attack.
