imagesdSeattle, Aug 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The employees of the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle were surprised on Sunday morning to find the zoo was going through a power outage. They found it when they arrived at the zoo in the morning. However, some parts of the zoo were affected by the power outage as it was reported. The employees promptly took actions to cause minimum inconvenience to the animals and birds. The zoo was opened to the viewers as sensual and the majority of the animal exhibits were made available to the public. To keep the work moving, generators were pressed into service. The exact cause of the power cut could not be traced though. The city light crews started repairing the lines promptly.

Later the power supply was restored and everything at the zoo was back to normalcy. The zoo’s animal curator Martin Ramirez said that there was no reason to worry. By Sunday afternoon the zoo wore the usual look with visitors enjoying the sight of the birds and animals. The animal areas are always fortified with backup in case of power outage he added. He also said that no animal suffered majorly owing to the power cut on Sunday. The possibility of animals getting troubled was there had the power not returned that day.

The zoo’s power supply was restored later except a bathroom. The zoo is home to a number of exotic species of birds and rare animals. Its major attractions are its snow leopards and penguins. The zoo does not charge anything for toddlers. The animals from tropical and arctic regions are also major crowd pullers.
