Even after a week has gone by, the search for the pictures of Maria Belen Chapur remain the hottest ‘looked for’ topic on almost all search engines. The 43 year old Argentine woman has been stated to be the mistress of the South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford by the Argentine media. Chapur has still managed to cling on to the popularity charts with everyone very curious to see how she looks.

Her popularity had only been dented a little with last week’s series of celebrity deaths, when people searching for her pictures had drastically cut down in number. However, with all that past now, Chapur returns to reclaim her throne in the search engine hot spot.

All hell had broken loose when last week, Sanford had admitted in a public statement that he had been involved in a romantic relation with Chapur since the past one year. In fact, he had admitted that he had been away at Argentina and not trekking the perilous slopes of the Appalachian Ranges (as was stated earlier), when he had gone missing from his office a few days ago.

It has been reported by the Argentine media that Chapur is a divorcee, and has two teenage sons; the Chapur family stays in an upper middle class area in Buenos Aires.

According to reports, Sanford and Chapur have been in contact with each other over the net for the past eight years. They had met at a time when Chapur was going through the pains of separation from her husband and over the years have remained friends. Sanford said that their relationship had blossomed in to a romantic one since last year.
