spy Philadelphia, Feb 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A top-notch school in Philadelphia handed out laptops to their students, and then they discreetly used the webcam attached to the laptop to spy on the students, at the school and at home too. These disclosures have shocked the parents and the students no end. There has also been a class action lawsuit filed in this regard which is titled as Blake J. Robbins v. Lower Merion School District.

This lawsuit was filed after a school official tried to discipline Blake Robbin’s son for “improper behavior in his home,” and the proof of the improper behavior was a photograph that was taken from the web camera, that was attached to the laptop given to the students. After this incident came to light, then the students of the Lower Merion School have sued the school for unlawfully spying on them, without their permission through the help of the laptop’s in-built cameras. They say that often the green light next to the camera would turn on, but the school officials claimed that it was just a glitch. It has also been learnt that the school administrator activated the webcams remotely and recorded students’ activities at home.
