New York, Apr 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The ‘Going Rogue’ author Sarah Palin has confessed that she used to smoke marijuana in her youth, but since she didn’t enjoy it, so she dropped the habit. “I can’t claim a Bill Clinton and say that I never inhaled,” she had confessed to Anchorage Daily News in 2006. And in her youth, marijuana was legal under Alaska’s generous drug laws.

It may be recalled that in 1975, in a landmark ruling the Alaskan Supreme Court had allowed adults to have small amounts of marijuana in their personal possession for their own personal use. However in June 2006, the ruling was overturned when a law was made that ‘re-criminalized the drug’. And the former Alaskan governor also said that she is not in support of legalizing marijuana, as she fears that it would send a very wrong signal to her five children.

Meanwhile Sarah Palin is going strong on her TV career, as the ‘Going Rogue’ author narrated heart-warming stories of American who fight the odds, in the TV special ‘Real American Stories.’ She narrated the gut wrenching story of George Weiss who is a financially well off businessman, but at the same time he has his heart in the right place, as he also supports the economically weak students. He also pays their college fees, and supports them to make a mark for themselves, despite being financially weak. “There’s such power in this idea of the voluntary private-sector contribution that George and others now are making,” Palin said.
