The cruise ship, which operated in Alaska, was forced to stop south of Douglas Island on Wednesday afternoon because the whale was stuck at the bow of the cruise ship. The boat’s official’s say the mammal was noticed around 8:00 am as the ship headed to Juneau from Ketchikan on Wednesday.
The ship’s crew say they had to increase the ship’s engine power to maintain momentum after the collision occurred. It is not immediately clear the extent of damage to the ship, as a result of the collision.
But the crew say they are not sure when the accident occurred, expressing shock and concern over the accident. The crew explained that when the collision occurred, there was no impact felt at all.
The cruise ship is Sapphire Princess and it is part of the fleet of cruise ships that are operated by Princess Cruises. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration has announced that they will conduct a necropsy on the mammal to find the exact cause of death. The ship was delayed for three hours because of the incident.

Now that they have concluded that the whale was dead when it was struck why don’t you print a retraction and fall on your sword for saying the ship killed the whale.
