Samuel Koch Berlin, Dec 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A planned stunt during a live television reality show in Germany went awfully wrong resulting in a severe injuries to a contestant.

The contestant - Samuel Koch, was attempting a highly dangerous stunt that involved somersaulting over five cars in 4 minutes. Though he was wearing protective chest pad, knee pads and a helmet, he could not escape hurting himself because he landed awkwardly on his face.

Before the accident, Koch who is a 23-year-old student and gymnast has already jumped over two cars. As soon as he fell, the cameras were removed from him and focused on the horrified live audience. The show was then cancelled for the night. There are indications that the show might be cancelled altogether.

Canadian singer Justin Bieber was billed to perform during the show. However after the accident, the planned performance was called off as well. He afterwards tweeted that, “Just want to let my people in Germany know I won’t be on Wetten Dass tonight as an accident has taken place and … we all don’t think it is right to continue. Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety.”

Wetten Dass is a German family game where contestants perform pretty amazing stunts. It involves celebrity panelists who argue before a stunt whether the stunt will be successful or not.
