Salvation Army Bell Ringer Accused Of Stealing

Salvation Army Bell RingerDec.28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a recent incident that has left The Salvation army red faced, a bell ringer has admitted that he planned to steal money from the donation kettle used by him. The news has been confirmed by Vacaville police. The accused, Charles Gidron, a man in his late 50s submitted a report earlier to the police saying that his kettle was snatched at gunpoint by some miscreants. He also said that at the time of the theft he was taking donations from people near a store. The incident took place on Wednesday night. However, the investigation found loophole sin the report and later it turned out to be a cooked up story.

The police found out that Charles Gidron made a clever plan to make the incident look like an ordinary theft. He rang up a family member and asked him to take the kettle away. However, his relative had no idea about the plan. He did not know that by agreeing to pick up the donation kettle he was actually aiding Charles Gidron to steal money. The cops found the kettle which had $100 and the remaining $32 was found in the pocket of Charles Gidron. When he was found guilty the cops arrested him for misleading them and committing embezzlement.

A lot of people volunteer for the Salvation Army. The group performs a lot of social works like feeding the homeless and destitute, managing rehab centers and offering Christmas goodies to needy people etc. The charity organization also pays some of the volunteers. However, incidents like this one does not take place to often.
