Jan 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) When officials at a New Hampshire High School allowed a group to distribute safe sex kits to the students there, those officials apparently had no idea that the kits would also include such items as flavored lubricant and sexual candy products as well as the expected condoms.

Bruce Barlow, who was the spokesperson for the Monadnock High School board in Swanzey admitted that the school officials had approved the distribution of the kits, but was not aware of the contents. The kits were passed out at the high school by a group who called themselves ‘AIDS Services’ for a part of their ‘World AIDS Day’ participation. When over seventy students acquired those kits last month, many parents were irate.

Susan MacNeil spoke for the AIDS Services group of the Monadnock Region and stated to ‘WMUR_TV’ that she feels it is very unfortunate that the people were so upset. She added that the reason for the group including the lubricant was that it helps to prevent the condoms from breaking. There was no reason given for the fact that the lubricant was flavored, nor for the inclusion of the candy. The group has since been banned from the Monadnock School’s district.
