Russian authorities claim that Antisa Khvichava is the world’s oldest person at 130 years

oldest person Sachire, July 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Russian authorities claim that the world’s oldest person is 130 years old and it is none other than Antisa Khvichava. She is an inhabitant of a very remote mountain village of Sachire, which is located in Georgia.

A spokesman for the civil registry at the Justice Ministry - Georgiy Meurnishvili alleged that she was born on the 8th of July 1880 and so she is now 130 years old. However the date of birth is yet to be verified, as her birth certificate is not available. However the civil registry official alleged that he had access to two Soviet era documents, which gave ample proof of her age.

According to the records she was employed as a tea and corn picker and she retired from her profession in the year 1965, at the age of 85 years. She is fluent in the local language of Mingrelian.

“I’ve always been healthy, and I’ve worked all my life — at home and at the farm,” said Khvichava. She has a huge family comprising of her son, 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren. “Grandma has a very clear mind and she hasn’t lost an ability to think rationally,” according to Khvichava’s granddaughter Shorena.
