Rush Limbaugh New York, Jan 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Rush Limbaugh came under fire from all sides when he spoke his infamous Haiti comments. But now he is leaving no stone unturned to defend himself. During his show, he said to a caller that: “If I said it, I meant to say it, and I do believe that everything is political to this president. Everything this president sees is a political opportunity, including Haiti, and he will use it to burnish his credentials with minorities in this country and around the world, and to accuse Republicans of having no compassion”.

Earlier Rush Limbaugh had said on his radio show on Wednesday that he wouldn’t trust that money donated to Haiti through the White House Web site would actually go to the relief efforts. He said Americans don’t need to contribute to earthquake relief because they already donate to Haiti through their high income taxes.

The White House has decided to fire back at Rush Limbaugh, after his unkind comments on the Haiti rescue efforts. Spokesman Robert Gibbs said there are always people who say “really stupid things” during a crisis. He then proceeded to accuse Limbaugh of using the power of his pulpit to convince people not to assist those in need.
