Jennifer Wilbanks New Mexico, Jun 23 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Runaway bride Jennifer Wilbanks has finally found ‘true love’. She was in the centre of a scandal in 2005, when she had fled from the altar and was termed as the ‘runaway bride’. She was due to marry John Mason in 2005, but at the last moment she developed cold feet and ran away from her wedding.

She didn’t apprise anyone of her plans and there was a big hue and cry over her disappearance. After being on the run for several days, when she ran out of money then she called the police from New Mexico, and claimed that she had been kidnapped.

Her disappearance and then her claims of getting kidnapped had sparked off a huge media frenzy. However her lie was caught and there was a sordid mess after that. There were lawsuits flying in the air, and charges and then counter-charges.

Finally the matter was settled in court and she even had hand to pay money as restitution, and was also placed on a probation for two years. Later John Mason married someone else in 2008. And now Jennifer claims that she has found true love in the form of twice-married, twice-divorced landscaper Greg Hutson, whom she has been dating since last year.
