Royal Mail to have a trial evening delivery run

London, Nov 1 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Royal Mail has announced that as part of the measures to boost up the company’s revenue, it would run a trial evening delivery. The trial delivery will be delivered to the shopper’s between the period of 6 pm and 10 pm in the evening.

The company reveled further that it was in talks with other retailers to join the service. The company revealed that the service would enable late shoppers to freely shop at their convenient time. The trial delivery which will run for six months will eventually extended to the over 600 of the company’s delivery offices.

The Royal Mail is by far the most preferred delivery service for most shoppers on Ebay and recent survey indicated that 84% of the online businesses wanted Royal Mail to improve in several ways. Among the things that the businesses wanted changed was the time and day of deliveries by Royal Mail, evening deliveries, evening collection, improved weekend deliveries and evening service at the various post offices.

The company is in a battle to stay in business as politicians in the UK debate on the relevance of the company. The company initially applied to be allowed to increase its prices for big business customers to raise some £100 m to boost its operations.
